Skyline - Worst Movie of 2010

Hello guys!

Skyline. The worst movie of the 2010?

Having no expectations for Skyline I was increasingly shocked to find that it didn't even manage to meet the bottom of the barrel expectations I had set it! The trailer was semi interesting and there were great parts to it but it's another one of those incidents were the trailer shows every single good part.

The Synopsis is that of Jarrod and his girlfriend have travelled to L.A to sample the life with his Best friend who is rich, after a night of partying and secrets being told, uh oh Bright lights appear and seem to take people through the light which has brainwashed them, Jarrod is then exposed much like in District 9 and mutates throughout the movie they are trapped within the hotel.

Taking into consideration the graphics were great saves this film from being my worst of all time but then it's as if they said ok we've spent 9.5 million pounds on the graphics who can we get for a cheap rate? (filming only cost a reported 500k) Oh I know Turk from Scrubs and David Sayers from Dexter; everyone will call us geniuses for that one. If that wasn't enough add on the fact that the script felt as if it was done by an Eastenders writer or even the US show Days of Our Lives.

Now this just doesn't surprise when I went to check out who the Director was it was the Strause brothers probably the best at visual effects in the biz but whose other titles director include AVP2, now that is my most hated movies ever the mere fact they killed 2 great aliens and made them look like Idiots who can be killed my teenagers with a chainsaw.

The plot was that of any other Alien disaster movie more specifically the ones where people wake up and the world has gone to hell, add on the fact that people are being abducted it brings a familiarity feeling into play I could even go as far to say a rip off of War of the Worlds of sorts. This is what War of the Worlds would look like if Jason Friedman and Aaron Seltzer (Date Movie etc etc) directed it, no really. One of the best parts was even cherry picked from War of the Worlds; this is the part where the telescope alien is searching for other aliens.

Towards the end of the film it feels like the filmmakers were running out of money because it just cut off when a battle sequence is underway and that made me realise that I had lost 93 minutes of my life that I will never get back, thanks Skyline. This well and truly is worst film I have seen of 2010 and it deserves a place on a lot more people's lists.

For those of you who have watched Entourage will know that when I say this is a Johnny drama movie in its purest form, this is one to keep away from.

All in all keep away this does not have Barlingtons seal of recommendation not at all.

The Brand Stuart Baggs - Badly Handled or Done a Favour?

Stuart Baggs has accomplished?a level of infamy since the current series of the BBC Television show The Apprentice hit our Television screens. At only 21 years old the young entrepreneur he's already proved himself to be a profitable businessman running the successful Bluewave telecommunications company on the Isle of Man.

Frequently referring to himself as 'The Brand Stuart Baggs' and sometimes displaying? a cocky and loud personality, he didn't always get on with the other contestants in the show, but this produced first rate TV, and despite not becoming popular with the general public Stuart captured their fascination and viewers tuned in.

Reality TV shows necessitate powerful characters to be entertaining and Stuart was genuinely entertaining as viewers tuned in week after week to see if this could be the week that he was despatched home following getting fired.

In reality, Stuart Baggs was in no way likely to win the show, but he did do fairly well reaching the penultimate episode of the series, only for your misunderstanding over which telecommunication licenses he holds led to an assumption that he had lied about facts on his CV, leading to a scene of pure TV Gold with Lord Sugar dramatically and angrily sacking him with the now infamous expression "..full of shit, basically.."

With hindsight Lord Sugar would doubtless admit that he was slightly harsh on Stuart who did present a few glimpses of why he's discovered good results.

But, however, like other reality Telly contestants a dramatic exit can bring about a silver lining, and this can be observed making use of the search analysis tool Google Insights for Search, which could be used to display the trends in keyword searches.

Stuart may not be a brand himself but he clearly is socially relevant to the press at the moment, and his firm is finding an elevated level of interest, so perhaps Lord Sugar did him a favour.

Planning Home Theater Designs

What are the requirements of successful Home Theatre Designs?

We've moved on a long way since the family was huddled around the radio together for their entertainment. The Audio-Visual Technology has developed at an amazing pace, and in conjunction with this, unfortunately the setting up of the systems for optimum performance require some forward planning and knowledge. Today's Audio-Visual technology is sophisticated enough to distribute the finest of sounds and sharpest of images, but they may be inaudible or distorted if the system is incorrectly installed

The collection of equipment that makes up the simplest of home theatre designs can be impressive. It is not uncommon to have Blu-Ray, Video Disc, HDTV and Surround Sound Systems from 5.1 to 7.1 as a starting point. However, incorrect home theatre designs will make the purchase of this equipment a waste of money, as the benefits will not be realised of this marvelous entertainment technology.

It is vitally important that you take into consideration the manufacturers recommendations prior to commencing the implementation of your home theatre designs. Something as simple as having your cordless telephone too close to some of the equipment could render it useless.

Planning your Home Theater Designs to your room.

Home theater designs plans are a must prior to setting up your equipment. This step is vital, so ensure you spend some time carefully reading the instructions for each piece of equipment, prior to incorporation into your plan. Choose a room that is going to be the focal point for this type of entertaining, and allocate it to being the home theater, you do not want to be moving the equipment around the house once it has been built to plan.

The plan we are talking about here does not have to be an Architectural Drawing, just a sketch of where the main components are going to be placed, and the location of any possible obstacles. Of course not forgetting the seating plan and focal point location for the screen/TV There is software available online to assist in the planning of home theater designs.

Major Considerations for Home Theater Designs.

SeatingScreen SitingObstacles - Some furniture will absorb and distort audio.Additional Items - You may wish to share the room with some other form of recreation such as gaming. Other equipment may need to be connected or stored in the vicinity.Storage - There may be a need for space to store a vast library of Films, Vinyl, CDs and DVDs.Structural Alterations - Would the rear viewers benefit from a raised platform or terracing?

As you can see the options open to you and considerations are plentiful. However, time spent in the planning phase of any operation is never wasted. Your enjoyment will increase exponentially if care is taken, and thoughtful home theater designs are drawn up prior to construction of the system.

With most phones applications allowing people to tweet on the go, there is no doubt that movie fans like Bollywood mobile these days.

The basic objective behind Bollywood tweeting, as one would imagine, is to stay on moviegoers' radar and try to be as visible as possible. Actors and actresses promote their latest movies, announce opening of new restaurants, clothing lines, fitness centres on twitter. Tweeting is not limited to only promotions, with stars commenting on social issues, expression their political views and even sharing personal experiences with their fans. There's Priyanka Chopra who actually gives advice to her fans to recuperating Lisa Ray who tweeted about her fight with melanoma and successful recovery. The recent Mangalore airport plane crash had Amitabh Bachachan expressing his grief on the microblogging site.

Tweeting is not limited to young Bollywood. Veteran actor Shammi Kappor is a big fan of twitter and can be seeing tweeting very often. He was most recently in the news for asking starlet Deepika Padukone (also on twitter) out on a date on twitter. The latest celebrity to join the twitter bandwagon is Amitabh Bachchan himself who has managed to garner a whopping 39,000 followers after just three days of joining the site. Ditto Salman Khan who currently has about 148,489 followers and King Khan (Shahrukh) with a neat 394,736 followers.
